About Social Enterprise

• Social Enterprise Audio-Studio Hera was founded in 2012 on the basis “Abkhazia deaf and dumb union Hera.”
• The SE creates audio and multimedia books in Georgian, Abkhazian and Osetian languages. The books are recorded by professional actors and anchors.

• Mission of Social Enterprise

• Ensure equal access for deaf and dumb beneficiaries to information and literature;
• Employ war veterans and internally displaced people with disabilities.

Goal of Social Enterprise

• Increase level of access for their beneficiaries to information and literature;
• Employ internally displaced people from Abkhazia and South Osetia.

Product/Service of Social Enterprise

Audio and multimedia books.

Social Results

• The Se created up to 350 audio and 10 multimedia books;
• In 2014 the SE created first electronic library- www.abh.ge -of audio and multimedia books in Georgia;
• In 2016 the SE created 26 audio books for deaf and dumb students;
• The Se employs 15 beneficiaries, among them 7 are people with disabilities and 4 others are war veterans;
• The SE facilitates to ensure equal access for deaf and dumb people to information and literature;
• Since 20154 the SE is Self-Sustainable.
