About Social Enterprise

Social enterprise "Caucasian Sochi Nursery" promotes development, popularization and involvement of young people in nature conservation in Georgia. The company was founded on the basis of Green Life NPL in 2016, and has successfully passed the first phase of raising awareness and popularizing the Sochi Caucasus region.

Green Life is a company that works with European organizations. It is also an innovator in the promotion of Caucasian Sochi seedlings on the Georgian market. The company is working to bring a European experience in the extraction of Christmas trees from Sochi cones.

Mission of Social Enterprise

Ensure a green, healthy and clean future in Georgia by implementing a European experience of Christmas tree planting and farming in the Caucasus Sochi.

Product/Service of Social enterprise

The nursery offers different types of seedlings to the customers, namely:

• Caucasian Sochi seedlings planted in a 2-year container;
• Caucasian Sochi seedlings planted in a 3-year container.

Caucasian Sochi seedlings are successfully sold during the New Year. The company is actively collaborating with corporate customers on New Year's gift orders.

Social Results

• The tradition of Christmas and New Year meeting with live seedlings was introduced in Georgia. Already several thousand Caucasian saplings have been introduced into Georgian families. The citizens planted the above-mentioned seedlings in a private plot and in the forest area after the festive days. Seedlings of Caucasian Sochi were planted in Borjomi Park.
• The nursery has begun to breed Caucasian Sochi seedlings and has also adapted the seedlings grown from European seedlings to the Georgian climate in Georgia.
• Vulnerable young people were employed, and student groups were trained where they studied greenhouse management.
