About the Social Enterprise

In 2017, with the initiative of the "Youth for Development of Samegrelo", a social enterprise - “Megobar” was established in Zugdidi.

Megobar brings together cafe and a free work space for young people, where trainings, conferences and workshops  are organized.

It is a place, where young people from the region of Georgia gather, exchange ideas, plan and / or manage events.

Mission of Social Enterprise

Creating a shared work space for young people in the Samegrelo region that enables them to use the space for workshops, trainings, conferences, exhibitions and office equipment services.

Product/Service of Social enterprise

Megobar's space offers a variety of services to customers, in particular:

  • Shared work space for young people;
  • Renting space for public meetings and events;
  • Cafe-bar service;
  • The evening space functions as a café-bar and offers young people in the region a variety of activities: music evenings, movie screening, sports broadcasts, and more.

Social Results

  • "Friend" is a social service provider for young people living in the Samegrelo region, including people living in disadvantaged;
  • For the first time there is a cultural / entertainment and educational space in Zugdidi where many activities have been organized with the involvement of youth living in Samegrelo region;
  • Proceeds from the social enterprise fund youth ideas and initiatives.
