Inclusive cafe in Batumi

About the Social Enterprise

Social cafe Free Space was founded in 2017 by the organization changes for equal rights. The SE is educational inclusive café in Batumi.

Mission of Social Enterprise

Mission of SE is facilitating employment of people with disabilities, advocating for their rights and increasing people’s awareness towards problems of people with disabilities.

Goals of Social Enterprise

  • Facilitate independent lives of people with disabilities and increase society’s awareness towards their problems;
  • Promote gesture language;
  • Facilitate improvement of economic conditions of people with disabilities;
  • Engage people with disabilities in cultural activities;
  • Ensure the functioning of healthy, mobile and inclusive environment.

Product/Service

  • Service of sign-language translators during public meetings;
  • Space for public meetings.


Social Results

  • Up to 20 social actvities were carried out at cafe;
  • 3 people with disabilities are employed at Cafe;
  • Within the cafe functions alternative school of gesture language, where 35 young people studies gesture language;
  • Cafe hosted adaptive performances twice.
