Social Enterprise Initiative for Georgia
The Civil Society Institute with its partner organization and co-applicant Social Enterprise Alliance, within a financial support of the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL), is implementing a project "Social Enterprise Initiative for Georgia".
Project aims to promote a favorable environment for Social Enterprises and CSOs in Georgia, so that they are able to better fulfill their missions and goals and serve the public interest at large.
More particularly, project has three specific objectives:
- Improving the enabling legal framework for social entrepreneurship in Georgia;
- A strategic vision and future plans for social entrepreneurship in Georgia is developed via a participatory approach;
- Enhancing CSOs and social enterprises capacity and improving their efficiency and effectiveness.
In line with these objectives, project envisages diversity of activities, including advocating to convince the Parliament of Georgia to adopt the bill on “Social Entrepreneurship” and to remain committed to the enabling environment for Social Enterprises in its future steps and activities, organizing events for capacity building activities for SEs and CSOs.
In the framework of the project, providing additional coaching and consulting on social enterprise and entrepreneurship issues.
